1. Salvation is Individual “As we have seen, believing the gospel is how a person first makes a connection to God. It gives us a new relationship with God and a new identity. We must not think, however, that once believing it, the Christin is now finished with the gospel message” (T. Keller, P. 128) I first started reading scripture with a former employer before I graduated High School. My family occasionally went to church, especially on the Holidays, but outside of catechism when I was in Middle School, I received no other religious teachings. As we read through the OT and NT I developed a different relationship with God that I had never had before. I knew I had to bring this new relationship to a different level, and I decided at the time to teach catechism at a church my family attended.
